Associations

Working closely with the Heron Class Association, we have transformed the interior of the dinghy with decks that are now sloped to add more comfort when sitting out.

Changes

Adding side tanks has maximised cockpit space and attractive curved thwarts increases legroom with a maximum boom height again adding more space. Along with the existing changes from the original design we have recently changed the hull shape to a more modern Design, removing the bed-logs , changing the curve of the bow and changing the skeg. This was all done to modernize the look of the boat .

Why a Heron

The Heron is a reliable and steady dinghy and we are experiencing an increase in their numbers at sailing clubs wishing to use them as training boats.  This may of particular interest to clubs who would like to improve their training days or schemes, couples and youngsters learning to race in a comfortable and sturdy dinghy, increasing confidence and sailing ability.

Racing

The heron is a more stable Dinghy as mentioned in the former paragraph. but this doesn't mean they cant be used to race , either at club sailing or open meeting . With it's stability it also gives more confidence to go out it air's that in other boats would be off putting

Association

Along with the Heron Association our aim is to aid this already well established and versatile dinghy in what could be considered a impressive comeback in the dinghy market.
